The hotel takes its name from the famous Hannong porcelain importing family from Holland, who lived and worked in this spot in Strasbourg, dating back to the 18th century.

The lobby features a grand and elegant wooden sweeping staircase, reminiscent of an English country house, and you'll notice that wood is a prominent feature in all of the rooms and corridors of the hotel. Hard wood floors throughout and wooden panelling in a contrasting contemporary style in each room add to the refined atmosphere.

The rooms are cosy and extremely comfortable, featuring exquisite bathrooms, contemporary furnishings and satellite TV, room service and laundry. Some rooms at the front of the hotel have a balcony.

Breakfast is served in a room of Alsatian décor and consists of a wide range of hot and cold food which you can choose at the buffet. As you step outside of the hotel you will appreciate its excellent position - in the main shopping area, with exclusive boutiques, department stores, restaurants and cinemas all within easy walking distance. The nearby Strasbourg central tramway station (L'homme de fer) brings you quickly and easily to all the major business centres of the city (convention centre, exhibition centre, european institutions).
