This has to be "The Deal" for any guests travelling between 01Nov08-31Mar09, as prices include a freshly prepared 2-course dinner for the price of bed and breakfast! (2-course includes a cold buffet starter and set main course). But whatever time of year guests wish to travel, the excellent 4-star Witek Hotel offers superb value for money - not only with the level of accommodation, but also with a highly personalised service which the hotel justifiably prides itself on (the number of repeat guests and Polish celebrities speaks for itself!). Paying much attention to detail at all levels, the hotel also offers a restaurant which, in addition to a superbly stocked wine cellar, also offers a cuisine based on local, home-grown produce and includes home-made pastries and charcuterie. Facilities at the Witek are comprehensive and include a garden, covered outdoor bar with barbecue, complimentary monitored parking, billiards for guests to enjoy, as well as table tennis, sauna, jacuzzi or, during the cold winter months, a chance to relax in front of the open fire located in the bar. All rooms are equipped with TV, radio, telephone and minibar, and become a peaceful haven at the end of a busy day in the mediaeval city of Krakow. The hotel's location allows for straightforward direct access to Krakow city centre by public transport (the bus stop for the 15-20 minute ride is located directly in front of the hotel!) and to Balice airport by taxi. Thoroughly recommended!
